I close my eyes and wonder what will today bring. I have already had a horrible week. I can’t take any more of this. These are the words that float to my mind as I push myself up from my bed and wonder God how will I make it another day with all of this stress.
As I walk I remember something. My neighbor up the road just lost a family member. As I get dress I remember the little boy on the side of the road. Dirty, hungry and needing someone to some him love.
As I think of these things I stop worrying about what was bothering me and I remember the night I slept outside on a church porch on a rock as a pillow. The hurt the pain the sense of loss I felt and I see it again.
The light, I saw when I was at my lowest. I hear it again that still soft voice that says don’t give up keep moving. You are not alone.
Then I remember why I am still hopeful. For life will try its best not to destroy you but test you how serious you are about you. If you are not willing to fight for you who will. If you are not willing to live for you, who will.
This is why I remembered even with all of the hurtful things I have faced this week, I smile and I remember as long as I am alive. I will remain hopeful.
So can you!
Changing the Heart Eureka Moment
Daniel 6:1-28 Talks about Daniel and his story of being in the lion’s den. Tricked by those who would seek to destroy him. he held to his hope. The hope that God would either rescue him or allow him to die. However no matter what happened he knew God had not forsaken or forgotten to him and he keep to this belief.
Life will bring you to the point that you are facing down death, with death and a hunger for you life. Yet while you are faced with the death of a dream, the death of your purpose, you must always remember that we are all created for a purpose and that purpose is to live. Live and be the unique gift we are to the world. For this we wake each morning so that we can shine a little brighter, wash our selves off and keep pushing even when it feels like we have nothing left in us to give.
Yet just like Daniel who faced death, and fear, we must learn to hold to our hope of knowing regardless of where we are today. Tomorrow is another day and we can and will make tomorrow. Yet even if we don’t we will live today. Today with the knowledge that the beauty we each bring makes the world hopeful and others as we live.
So live and stay HOPEFUL.
